The extended gameplay trailer showcases the extremely fluid and modern gameplay of Warhammer 40K: Boltgun, brought to life with glorious, fully 3D, sprite-based visuals. The footage in question showcases seven minutes of viciously satisfying gameplay footage, and is topped off with a boss fight for dessert. Other than that, great game, I really hope I can finish it because if not, then I’ll feel like I wasted a lot of time for nothing.A week after we got a taste of the gameplay for Warhammer 40K: Boltgun, developer Auroch Digital has released an extended gameplay trailer showing even more of the pixelated bloody action. Maybe try to highlight the area on the ground where it needs to be tapped? When I have to talk to someone or go someplace, I have to tap multiple times because I’m unsure of where exactly to tap even though the exclamation point is hovering over it. The second thing that bothers me is that the controls are kinda wonky. So now, I’m stuck on chapter 14 (I think) at a very pivotal moment and the game is broken! Very heartbreaking. I’ve tried interacting with the characters in that area, the doors, so on and nothing works, which forces me to save and close in hopes of being able to return and complete the scene. The first is that sometimes when there is dialogue, an ad will pop up, which is fine, but then the ad completely breaks the game and I can’t continue the dialogue or anything. I really like this game! Unique, very interesting motifs that are used. They appear right before a save point so it doesn’t interrupt the flow of the story too much. There is an ad after every chapter, but they’re skippable after 5 seconds. The story brings it all together in the end so nothing added was wasted, it just didn’t feel so at the time of reading. If I had to give 1 complaint it would be that eventually every chapter ends with either a huge cliffhanger because of new information, or a plot twist that at first seems to come out of nowhere. Simple but very powerful and emotional, it fits the game’s atmosphere perfectly. Not just the story either, I was extremely surprised at how good the music was. The further you get the better everything becomes. But the story and characters all grew on me as I read. At first the blocky looking characters and few environments made me expect something low quality. I’ve never written a review before, but this is a special game. A free story that’s absolutely worth your time.
